Sharing Christ
a seven-week journey
Thursdays, May 1 through June 12, 2014
Morning session:  10 a.m. to noon
Evening session: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
(with enough interest, we'll add a Monday evening session as well)

As Christians we're called to share the good news of Jesus Christ, but for many of us the word 'evangelize' leaves us sweating just a bit.  The truth is there are several easy techniques we can learn to help us more comfortably share our love of God.

Sharing Christ is an engaging seven-week series that teaches us how to share our faith with those around us.

The course features seven dynamic teachings in a small group environment, including discussion, prayer, and fellowship with other Catholics, as we learn simple straightforward techniques to grow in confidence as a true disciple of Christ.

Cost is $15 to support the seven-week program.

Prayer for Our Country
Every Friday at 3 p.m. in Church

Help put God back in America! If you are concerned about the direction our country is taking, please join us in church every Friday at 3 p.m. We will pray for help to reverse the drift away from God and freedom, to give us the courage to reject the culture of death, and the strength to build a new culture of life and to stir the hearts of our leaders so we remain one nation under God, with liberty and justice for all. The more voices, the stronger our prayer.

Family Promise of Genesee County
Family Promise of Genesee County has announced its scheduled opening. It will begin serving families in February. When the doors open, Holy Family Catholic Church will function as a support congregation instead of a host congregation, a decision which reflects the needs of our parish and its facilities, at this time. As a support congregation, the many volunteers already committed will still serve families facing a housing crisis alongside members of another, nearby, church. Holy Family will support New Life Community Lutheran, off Torrey Road, in Mundy Township. Volunteers will be able to provide meals to enjoy with families and help with other social activities, along with other necessary tasks.

Our coordinators, parishioners Amy Deloney and Lindsay Moore, will be in contact with volunteers about upcoming dates and training. If any other parishioners are interested in volunteering, please contact the parish office (694-4891).
